A friend and I have been working on transcribing the cemeteries in and around Walpole....So I can tell you Rufus and his wife, Elizabeth (Elliot) are buried in the East Walpole Cemetery, on Pleasent St. They are in the center section, 3 rows back from the street. Their head stone reads: RUFUS TIDD \ 1838 -1903. \ HIS WIFE \ ELIZABETH ELLIOT \ 1837 - ?? \ TIDD (on base) Hopefully we will get all the records up on line...along with photos the headstones.
