I agree that all the dates don't agree, but feel confortable that they are all connected. I have found Samuel's burial info as follows b: 18 July 1769, d:1 May 1838, age 69, buried at Concord Presbyterian cemetery, allegheny twsp, Venango Co., PA. I wonder if Esther is buried there or nearby since she lived with son John for awhile. Did your family bible show other children beside John and Hayward? My info on Samuel's parents is a Samuel Jones and Mercy(Marcy) Hayward. I have found their marraige record (1766)in Boston, but can't find their son's birth in 1768 or 69. Would it be possible to get a copy of any of the records you mentinoned in your family? I'll gladly pay any copying and mailing costs.
