Massachusetts vitals are only availble on line to 1910.Social security is good but only started in 1935. Some times you can find info in the ciy/town directory's but they do not have all the yrs. It would be good to post the names, info you might have, there are a lot of people who have access to info that might help you. Massachusetts also has a death index that starts in 1970 which could help. Good luck in your search. Tina Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Albert Morandi BARTLETT which was taken at the Hastings Studio in Boston, Massachusetts. The photograph is dated October 1888 with Albert likely less than one year old at the time. Based on limited research and thanks to the assistance of a BARTLETT Family Researcher I have been able to gather the following information: Albert Morandi BARTLETT b. in Malden, MA to parents Albert BARTLETT and Blanche MORANDI 1920 census of Sharon, MA: Albert M. BARTLETT, age 32, born MA, parents born MA, a Copper Tank Salesman Helen D. BARTLETT, wife, age 32, born MA I am hoping to find someone from Albert's family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to its rightful place with family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

When responding to a digest post or someone else's response to one, PLEASE PLEASE do not reuse the digest subject line. Please change it to something pertaining to your response. It is never appropriate to reuse a digest subject line. Also, a reminder to those of you who do subscribe in digest mode, please also make sure you trim the digest when replying of everything other than a short sentence or two directly related to your reply. I know this seems trivial to some folks, but not doing so really does cause problems. Thank you for your cooperation. David List Admin

But, that reminded me that I would still like to find out more about the WAINWRIGHT mansion on Canton Street (?). The 1910 census has Arthur WAINWRIGHT living in a home with ~6 servants, and one was my gr-gr-grandfather, Charles W. RICE. He was the live-in gardener for the man. Charles was the youngest of 10 in a family in Lubec, Maine, and he came down as a 20-year-old possibly to work on the HUTCHINSON farm in Winchester. He married Adelaide and had 2 daughters with her and "separated" shortly after ~1880. I don't know where he lived between 1880 and 1910. When he found out he had cancer, he moved to a nephew's home in Ashland and died there in 1916. The census page shows there were at least 3 mansions on Canton Street in Milton. Were there a whole line of mansions on that street?
