I don't know a thing about him, other than, he was a friend of my parents, maybe especially my dad. My parents were Arvo Alfred "AL" Nelson and Margaret Bradley What I'm trying to find out is anything I can about him. I do know that he was my sisters God Father. Her name: Linda Margaret Nelson. She was born May 20 1947 in Boston MA We were living in West Quincy MA 114 Town Hill Street with dad's mother, when she was born. She never knew who her God father was. Our dad died when she was 5, in 1952. Her God mother was our aunt Mary (Bradley) Lynch of Salem. MA. I suspect that Dominic is either very old, or probably deceased. Dad would have been 100 if her were living. He was born Feb 18 1909 in Quincy MA. He graduated from Northeastern Univ. in Civil Engineering. He played the trumpet, and gave lessons as well while at N E. Later he worked at F B Badgers(Stone & Websters too) I'm telling you this in hopes it may trigger some memories. Maybe someone knew (knows) Dominic and can help. How did he know my dad? Where did they meet? Anything at all about him. Did he ever really know Linda, or any of us. I'm older than Linda, and we had a brother Peter that died in April 1988 in Wakefield MA. Peter was born in 1944, and me several years before that. Was Dominic married, did he have children, sibblings, etc. I'm hoping one of them may see this. Thank you so much Barbara Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. That was just from the index and it doesn't cross-index to the groom. This comes down to writing for the actual record to see who the groom was for Ethel Elsie, or for Grace Louise. Then on to the next step of finding if there were kids, etc. Good luck. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Jasper died in Winthrop in 1868 so you might write them. Alternatively, you can try the state (vol. 113, page 369) but that's likely to be more expensive. The Downies show up in Winthrop in 1920 where Jasper is a painter [dist 677, sheet 1A taken 2 Jan.] and 1930. There are two daughters: Ethel Elsie, age in 1920 2.6, b. Winthrop, 1917 (vol 642, page 309) Grace Louise, age in 1920 1.2, b. Winthrop, 1918 (vol 145, page 49) His wife is Helene V. She is also the contact on his draft registration for WWI. ( Sorry, forgot to check for their marriage.) Both girls married and the vital records seem to be in both the town of Winthrop and in another - maybe where they moved?? Ethel E. m. 1939 - Brookline (vol 26, page 274) and Winthrop (vol 98, page 30) Grace L. m. 1944 - Revere (vol 67, page 415) and Winthrop (vol 85, page 76) Since they stayed in Winthrop, that does seem like the best place to try for records. (Kolsky) Goldberg b. 1-28-1887 d. 5-17-1963. My brother in law, her grandson, Robert B. Golden) passed in August and when going through his papers I found a letter written in Sept 1956 to her son, Harold David (Rusty) Golden stating she had money in several banks in the area...in this letter she asks Harold to not tell his two brothers, Nelson A Goldberg and Henry I. Golden about these accounts... Whether this was the truth or not...Harold never received any settlement from his mother's estate...my brother in law had just recently tried finding any documentation...so I am trying to finish this and reconstruct the family tree for my niece..
