I have walked that cemetery many times. You can cover it in a couple of hours. The care-taker is sometimes avalable in a small office near one of the two entrances. He was kind enough to consult his loose leaf binders for me and give me some guidance on new and old parts of the cemetery. How can I help you? I have been trying to contact the cemetery office to find where Timothy and Margaret Sullivan are buried. Unfortunately, I have not been able to get in touch with anyone. Timothy was buried in 1929 and I suppose he was the first buried in the plot. What part of the cemetery was being sold around 1929. I'll have to search stone by stone to see if I can find them. If I knew where to start it would be easier. William D Romanski Rhode Island Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Go to Find a Grave type in cemetery name. There is a Margaret J. 1878 - 1961 with a picture but no Timothy. There are about 25 Sullivan's listed. Send email to poster maybe they will help or put you in the right direction. -----Original Message----- From: manorfol-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:manorfol-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of gc-gateway@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, March 09, 2010 5:21 PM To: MANORFOL@rootsweb.com Subject: [Norfolk Co MA] St Francix Xavier Cemetery Weymouth This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Hello, I was just trying to find information on-line about my grandfather's brother, and I accidentally found a web site offering a book on the descendants of Edward POOLE of 1600's Weymouth. Just thought I would offer this information in case it would help someone: i. Capt. Edward. He was born in 1609 in England, in the neighborhood of Weymouth, as the company with which he came in 1635 and founded Weymouth, Mass., was made up from the neighboring towns, Rev. Joseph Hull being the religious leader. His wife's name was Sarah, but of what family is not known. He fled from religious persecution in England that he might worship God in his own way. He resided all his life at Weymouth. He was a large landed proprietor. He died in 1664 at Weymouth. His will, of which his wife was executrix, was executed Aug. 22, 1664, and admitted to probate Sept. 16, 1664. His will and the inventory of his estate, which were published in the New England Historical and Genealogical Register, Vol. 13, 1859, Pages 12 and 13, are as follows : "Edward Poole. - 22: 6 mo. : 1664. The Last will of Ed- ward Poole of Weymouth, Being sicke, but of perfect memorye. [Debts to be paid]. I give unto my wife, my dwelling house & the Land adjoyning thereunto as long as she doth keepe her selfe a widow, and also the Lott the Towne gaue me, about 8 acres, giuen as aforesaid, and also 2 acres of medow that I bought of John Prince. It looks like Mary Judge & her husband Thomas are the parents of Fr. Thomas Augustine Judge. On the NEHGS vital records a Thomas Judge was born the 8/23/1868 Boston with Thomas & Mary as parents. I found the family on the 1880 census as I will check the other brothers and sisters and see if the mother's maiden name is listed to be sure we have the correct Thomas Judge.
