    3. From The Concord Enterprise, 13 November 1912 - Maynard: George Siswick is seriously ill; James Campbell is at the Marlboro hospital with appendicitis; Miss Mary J. Shea and Mr. Crowell to wed; Kenneth Damren is back from the western part of the state, where he campaigned for [Teddy] Roosevelt; Joseph W. Foster was called to Oxford by the death of his mother; John Smith of Cleveland, Ohio, visited relatives. South Acton: Fred Davis took a party of Grangers in his auto truck to Carlisle; A. V. Hall and wife of Livermore, Me., are visiting Walter Young; J. C. Putnam of Athol was in town; Sherwood West is on the Battleship Tennessee bound for Constantinople; Mrs. George Stowe of Cambridge visited Mrs. Young; Madison Fairbanks was home from Rockridge; Dr. Howard Tuttle was over from Tewksbury for a visit; Mr. and Mrs. Emory Lothrop are visiting relatives in Milford. West Acton: Mrs. Jerry Griffin and family have moved into the tenement of Mrs. W. H. Rudolph, recently vacated by Fred Davis; Fred Davis has bought the home place of his mother, Mrs. E. B. Davis and has moved into the same; Charles E. Beach of Westboro came over in his Ford auto to visit relatives; B. A. King has recently wired Chas. Twitchell's house for electric lights; water pipes from the street to the houses which will take the water have all been laid in this village.
