Here is some news on this issue. This is from Rootsweb. 2006-03-26 SpamCop's listing of RootsWeb as spam Update: Sun 26 Mar 2006 No current blocks are in place, however, this does not preclude SpamCop again listing us through collateral damage. If ISPs are willing to whitelist our servers, we are very prepared to provide details. Past message 2: We have discussed the matter with SpamCop and there has been a temporary resolution. This does not prevent any further listing or mean that there is a permanent solution in place. We are looking to some of the issues that SpamCop has and are talking about our issues with their processes. Here's hoping for a mutually agreeable solution! Past message 1: Subscribers whose ISPs use SpamCop to block spam mail will find that they will have lost email and may have been unsubscribed from mailing lists. We are happy to provide RootsWeb's list server details to ISPs if they wish to whitelist our mailing list servers. We would require either a working webpage or email address in which to contact your ISP. I forgot to look at the name on the earlier post. The gentleman was correct. Money talks. If an ISP starts losing too many people because of the over aggressive handling of spam notices by Spamcop, they'll drop Spamcop.
