Hi Dennis, and other researchers, That sounds like an interesting meeting ! On my HUTCHINSON family tree, we were fortunate enough that several generations were interested in their ancestors, and we have a few, small documents about them. And, they left an old photo album (tintypes). That is why my sister started genealogy 10+ years ago - to figure out who all these un-named ancestors were ! But, as far as I know, no one on any side of our family tree left us "letters, diaries, or journals." If they did leave any, they went to other descendants ! And, that we regret ! I also wanted to mention that the directions you offered to get to the Littleton Library might need further description! Those directions bring you up to the set of lights in "Littleton Center" and that is where about .5. roads meet ! And, I think taking a right at the lights brings you to a fork in the road. I just checked my street-map book, and, yes, you need to bear right at the fork in the road. When you are coming up off of Rt. 495, the first intersection (set of lights at Mobile Sta.) is with "Rt. 110." When you take a right and stay on King St., that roadway is a combined "Rt. 2A and Rt. 110." And, the roadway you come onto when you get off Rt. 495 -- is Rt. 119. Betty (near Lowell, MA) P.S. I am familiar with Littleton as one set of uncles and aunts lived in Littleton (on Long Lake) during the 1950's and 1960's, and we used to visit them every summer to go swimming ! P.S.2 Littleton is one of those towns which has many roads and two major highways running through it (Rt. 495 and Rt. 2), and then it has Rt. 119 which runs across from Acton to Groton. The part of Rt. 119 coming in from Acton is also Rt. 2A -- but in Littleton Center Rt. 2A takes a left and follows Rt. 110 to Ayer ! :o) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dennis Ahern" <ahern@world.std.com> To: <MAMIDDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 8:23 AM Subject: MSOG, MIDDLESEX CHAPTER APRIL 8, 2006 MEETING > The Middlesex Chapter of the Massachusetts Society of Genealogists, > Inc., will meet at 1:30 p.m., 8 April 2006 at the Rueben Hoar Library, 41 > Shattuck Street, Littleton, MA.
