South Acton: George Clapp attended the two days' session of the National Photographers' association, held in Boston; F. F. Chandler is recuperating at Northfield, Vermont; Ernest Baird was over from Peabody last week, Mrs. Edson Baird is very ill; Mrs. Waldo Skelton is steadily regaining her strength after a severe shock; Russell Quimby had a few days' vacation from Brown University; Mr. Aldred of Waltham is building a bungalow on his land at the rear of the Will Warren estate; Thomas Mannion, employed by Webster C. Robbins of East Acton, apparently was in collision with a train, the horse being killed and the sleigh demolished; Poole's orchestra of Boston played for a dancing party in Exchange Hall. Acton Centre: Joseph Welch hurt his knee while carting wood for Wm. H. Kinsley; bodies of Mrs. G. A. Dusseault, and Charles H. Morris brought to Woodlawn cemetery for interment; Carlton C. Taylor sentenced to 60 days for stealing hens from Luther Conant, C. G. Dole and Geo. L. Noyes, also stealing candlesticks from house of Francis Bacon.
