I wonder if anybody would be good enough to look up the following for me. I'm interested in JOHN THOMAS CURTOIS, who arrived in Massachusetts in 1829, and who died in 1849 and is buried in the Winchester Street burial ground in Newton, along with two children who are recorded as JT CURTOIS and RR CURTOIS. Just to complicate matters, the name was often spelt CURTIS in the US, and I don't know whether the family actually lived in Newton - another child was born in Watertown in 1831. Anyhow, could somebody try looking up JT and RR CURTOIS or CURTIS and see whether they can find out anything about them? Thank you very much in advance, Chris PS: I'd be interested in any CURTOIS people you come across.
This just verifys what you stated: From the Vital Records of Newton to the Year 1850 CURXIS John, b. England, consumption, May 11, 1849, a. 63. [John T. Curtois, G. R. 3-] Death GR3 = gravestone record, Winchester Street Cemetery, Newton Highlands I find no other CURTOIS -----Original Message----- From: gc-gateway@rootsweb.com [mailto:gc-gateway@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of chcja@bris.ac.uk Sent: Friday, March 10, 2006 4:38 PM To: MAMIDDLE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [MAMiddle] CURTIS family in Newton This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list.
