Hello, One last posting on this family for this week ! I'm finding out that the interrelated HUTCHINSON, CROSBY, WELLINGTON, and HOMER families originating in 1800's Winchester and Arlington, MA, were "people of wealth" !!! This is especially for the family members who moved to Brooklyn, NY, somewhere around 1860 ! This includes the related spouses with the SYMMES and JOHNSON names. And, I have seen two of the JOHNSON's referred to as "Capitalists." I just looked up the definition and they are "people of great wealth." I don't know what happened with the HUTCHINSON brothers and one sister who remained in Winchester, MA ! But, their "great wealth" certainly did not get down to ... my great-grandmother ! :o( Or, if it did, she certainly ... hid it well ! I'm told that she and her disabled son were within weeks of losing their large HUTCHINSON Farm in Winchester in 1958 - for lack of paying their R.E. taxes ! Were they too far removed ..... from their cousins in Brooklyn, NY ??? :o( P.S. I'm looking for a better description of family of John HUTCHINSON and Sarah FROST, and whether their son, Thomas M. HUTCHINSON, was their 8th .. child ! (not mentioned by some researchers) And, I'm wondering if John had children before he married Sarah in 1772. (He reportedly was married twice before.) P.S.2 I'm finally seeing the connection between the HUTCHINSON's, HOMER's, and WELLINGTON's ! Mrs. Betsey (HOMER) HUTCHINSON might have had two brothers, Eleazer and William HOMER, who married two WELLINGTON sisters in Belmont !
