Hi Betty... Might my George Adams III, born 1647, Watertown, MA and married to Martha Fiske in 1683/84 be part of the Adams family you're researching? As far as I can ascertain my Adams family (George,Jr. and his brothers Joseph and John) were from Somerset Co., England and came directly to Watertown. George Adams III had a sister, Margaret, who married Thomas Wellington, Jr., and so I'm related to this particular Adams family twice. Hi Suzi, I just checked the "History of Chelmsford," and, even though there are many ADAMS people mentioned, I don't see a George. The "History of Carlisle" mentions a George, but only as an architect / designer of the Library in the 1800's?. The "History of Westford" does not mention a George, either. Perhaps someone who is descended from an ADAMS family in this area has information for you !
