May 12, 1768 son of Jonathan Prescott and his wife Rachel Clifford of Kensington & Gilmanton, N.H. Timothy Prescott m. Jan 2, 1794, Anna Locke, dau of David & Hannah Locke of Rye, born at Rye, March 27, 1774 and died at Gilmanton, N.H. Nov 21, 1837, aged 63 yrs. 8 mos. He settled first at Chichester as a merchant and farmer; removed to Gilmanton Oct 27, 1806; was a farmer & Deputy Sheriff and d. Sept 12, 1845 aged 77 yrs. 4 mos. p.338 Timothy Prescott and his wife Anna Locke of Gilmanton, N.H. had issue: 1. Mittee Leavitt Prescott b. April 5, 1795; m. Daniel Rundlet of Gilmanton. He died leaving one son Newell Rundlet who resided at Lowell; she m. (2) Daniel Tilton of Deerfield on June 2, 1823. (three children, Arvilla, Mary & George. 2.Nancy Prescott b. Agu 31, 1797 m. William Patrick Clough of Canterbury Feb 16, 1832. He was the son of Leavin Clough b. Oct 1802; a farmer. 3. Jonathan Prescott b. Aug 14, 1800; m. Jan 22, 1835, Miranda E. Clough of Canterbury dau of Leavitt Clough, Jr. b. Feb 14, 1808. Resided on the homestead in Gilmanton. 4. Woodbury Timothy Prescott b. in Chichester April 5, 1803 m. Frances Elizabeth Banks of Dover on Dec 29, 1839; b. Nov 10, 1809. He was Selectman, 3rd Ward, Dover, 1857. Justice of the Peace, Secretary & Treasurer of the Cocheco Mutual Fire Ins. Co., Dover. 5. Julia Ann Prescott b. Jan 8, 1805; m. Nicholas S. Gilman son of Samuel Gilman Dec 24, 1829; he was b. Feb 20, 1800; one child - Frances Prescott Gilman b. June 9, 1832 who m. Carlos Goulg Hathorne of Hopkinton Mar 11, 1852, a lawyer in Dubuque, Iowa. 6. Benjamin Locke Prescott b. Sept 23, 1809. 7. Alfred Prescott b. April 28, 1812; m. Octavia, dau of Deacon Josiah Bean; Nov. 13, 1838; she born at Sandwich, N.H. Aug 18, 1816; he was a printer at Gilmanton Corner several years and Town Clerk of Gilmanton p.339 Edwin Rufus Prescott b. Nov 3, 1815; m. Annette Elizabeth Towle, dau of John Towle of West Cambridge, Mass. Jan 2, 1843; she b. Aug 27, 1822. They resided in West Cambridge. He was a merchant. No issue. She died July 27, 1858. On the 8th of Oct 1863 he m. (2) Mary Matilda, eldest dau. of Hon. Philemon R. Russell of Somerville, Mass. she b. April 7, 1835. One child - Edwin Russell Prescott b. Oct 12, 1864. He commenced business in West Cambridge, Mass. in 1835; was apptd as Assistant Postmaster in 1838 and Postmaster in 1841; which office he held 21 years until he resigned in 1862 and was a highly respected citizen.
