    3. Hi Ginny, Thank you for the look-ups. It was Susan who was posting the query, and I'm sure she will appreciate it. That is a confusing note on the death record. I can make a slightly off-topic comment. In the early 1980's, I was diagnosed with .3. "abdominal Hernias." And I found it is fairly rare that a woman has them, but they do happen. And, just with men, they are dangerous and can be life-threatening. * Betty (near Lowell, MA) * In my case, and now possibly in all cases, "hernias" are a whole in a muscle wall - and are caused by a so-called "Mid-Line Defect." Just this year doctors are discovering that many defects in a baby when they are born which are caused by a "mid-line defect." You can look-up that term and find details. In my case, the official diagnosis was: "a Mid-Line Defect which Went Undiagnosed at Birth." On-line it says that this problem can be inherited and can run in families. Last year my youngest sister was diagnosed with a Hernia, and we have several cousins who were born with a Hernia. And there is also something called an "internal" Hernia which another cousin might have. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ginnyb" <ginnyb@comcast.net> To: <mamiddle@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 29, 2009 9:32 AM Subject: Re: [MAMiddle] [MAMiddle Samuel H.
