Hi Wendy, I'd love to make more connections. There are many researchers in Canada who would love to make connections. My ancestors went directly to the Prov. of Quebec. But, one example, is that a Dawson KERR first settled in either N.S. or N.B., and then joined the family in Argenteuil Co. And, we're pretty sure that the KERR's in Compton Co., P.Q. were somehow connected. I think my Patrick KERR was born 1790 in Co. Sligo, Ireland. His relative, William HENDERSON, also mine, was born ~1785, and his brother ~1780. So, that was the timeframe of the families we've been researching, although some arriving were born a little later. Since we cannot find out who their parents were, we also cannot find out who their siblings were, or how many siblings they had. So, your William could have been a sibling. If you go to the archives of the KERR List or the List for the "former Township of Gore," (Canada), you will find details on the family-group arriving 1823, and in at least one posting I offered the names of the children and - whether names of children was a clue to the parents' names back in Ireland. www.rootsweb.com Mailing List Index or "Find a List" Betty P.S. I've written to the County Sligo Heritage Centre twice, and they tried hard (?) but they were no help at all. A researcher in Ireland is going to "Dublin" in Feb. and offered to help others. I asked him to look for my ancestors. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendy Baker" <ewbaker@earthlink.net> To: <kerr@rootsweb.com>; <genMassachusetts-L@rootsweb.com>; <MAMIDDLE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, January 25, 2010 5:59 AM Subject: [MAMiddle] KERRS from Canada to Middlesex Co, MA > Hi Betty, > I read all your entries with great hope that we'll have a connection > someday, being that my Kerrs came from Canada and ended up in Middlesex > County, MA.
