    1. [MAMiddle] John TRUMBULL, Artist, 1700's

    3. Hello, I was watching "Antiques Roadshow" on TV last night, and someone brought in a "print" of the "Battle of Bunker Hill" by John TRUMBULL. I remembered the name so I could look him up this morning. Turns out his family was from CT. But, according to the appraiser, John was in Boston (Charlestown?) while the battle was going on, and he took sketches of what he saw. I looked him up this morning, and it seems he created a lot of prints and paintings, etc. http://www.americanrevolution.org/trumbio.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Trumbull http://historyiselementary.blogspot.com/2006/12/trumbulls-battle-of-bunker-hill.html I don't think this surname is mentioned too often. So, I thought I'd offer it as an FYI. Betty (near Lowell, MA) P.S. Another of the TRUMBULL prints has been on the show: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/roadshow/archive/200404A08.html
