My GGGrandfather, Harvey Malone, was half Cherokee. My grandmother never wanted to talk about this, but once casually mentioned this. Several years ago, I obtained copies of the Guion Miller application of my G Grandfather, which provided a lot of information. Unfortunately, I started my research years after my grandmother's generation was gone, losing valuable sources of information. It's believed that Harvey Malone's family was either from around Ashe County, North Carolina or in the southwestern part of Virginia. If anyone has any further information, would be interested in corresponding with them, or if anyone has further information on Harvey Malone.
