Notes for EDWARD MALONE GARNER: Edward's first wife died on the same day and in the same house as his mother. I have a picture of him and his second wife along with other members of the Garner family. The following info was given to me by Millie (Garner) Perdue, (daughter of Edward) : 1). Frank Garner was born about two years before Edward & Sally were married, 2). When Edward Garner died his grandsons, Art & Ode Marcum, were in jail and the sheriff had to escort them to the funeral, 3). Ed Garner was a very good looking man, 4.) Ed Garner said he raised 12 children and that his daughter Nova was the only one he couldn't control. I have a copy of his personal estate sale on Mar 20,1935 and a copy of the bill of sales for the estate. Edward's mother and father were never married but Millie (Garner) Perdue said that he acknowledged that his father was Edward Malone and that he was named after him. He is also named in Malone's will. I cannot find a will or death certificate for Edward. I have seen his middle name as Malone and as Francis. I have a picture of her with her father and various other members of her family taken sometime between 1915-1925. The info on her death certificate was given by a Turk Barnes. Was he a child of Kittura's? Was Turk his nickname and if so what was he real name? Kittura was born before her parents were married. On her marriage record to Elliott Berry Barnes her name is listed as Rigney and it is noted that this is her second marriage.
