Hi, I'm new to the list and am trying to work up my son-in-law's family for him. He is a descendant of Daniel MALONE who died in Caswell Co., NC in 1826 (wife Elizabeth LEA). Daniel was, according to most accounts, the son of Daniel MALONE and his wife Elizabeth STAPLES. Since I'm no longer able to get to a library to access records or even the Malone family book, I've been trying to trace the elder Daniel online, and it's confusing to say the least. I see three separate fathers attributed to him: Drury, Isham, and another Daniel. Is there anything definitive that links the Daniel who m. Elizabeth STAPLES with a father; and if so, which one?
