Dear Ross Thank you so much for your reply. I'm not certain of the exact year that the Malones came to Kane County. They appeared in the 1860 census. I'm sorry that I have packed away most of my genealogy papers as I will be moving to DeKalb County in a few weeks and I have boxes and boxes of papers that I have packed thinking that I will sort everything once I unpack...I am researching the Malones for a cousin of mine who is interested in tracing his family back to Ireland. As I recall his ancestor was Patrick Malone.
