Bob, I may have heard about Robert. Someone named Anna said (Robert E.) Lee Charles Cahpman m. Cecil Coatney . He was her great grandfather. Lee was the s. of Isaac Chapman and Nancy ASKEW. Anna had hear-say oral family information but was not sure of some of it. Lee supposedly "went away" for a while to Texas before coming back to marry Cecil who was thirty years younger than he and his second wife. Anna found Lee did "go away" but not to Texas, but the TN State Pen. She also said hew gm who was 84 (in 1999) said the Chapmans were Cherokee-Apache Indian and took their name from the family on whose farms they worked. I do not know how much of this is true.
