All I know is that all of of these Samuel's and Francis Malone's make my head swim. Samuel and Clarissa Hale Malone's first child was Francis born in 1830, but they had a child named Hartley also that was born in 1837. Much confusion here. Anyway I have a message from Bernadette Malone telling me that Francis Malone was born on Jan. 17, 1760 and died Sept 1841 in Ohio. And that their son was Samuel Wesley Malone Sr. born in 1781. He married Mary Lamb and their for children were Martha, William, Frances and Samuel Wesley Sr. Samuel Wesley Jr. was born in 1810 in Ross County, Ohio and died on Feb. 15, 1842 in Eugene, Indiana. All I can document on this family is Francis born in 1760 and the four children. I am grasping at straws with the introduction of Samuel Wesley Sr. here, but it seems natural that we have a set of parents between Francis and Martha. The only reason I never used Samuel Sr. before was that I had a birthdate of 1891 on him. Another possibility would be Richard's son Samuel that was born in 1767 in Pa. Maybe the Francis that Richard Mack helped out with his pension was Martha's uncle, you suppose. Anyway, I am going to make a concerted effort to find our missing link.
