My GGrandfather was John Malone, born 1840, Texas, died before March 1876. John married Charlotte Elizabeth Gay 25 Dec 1867, in Nacogdoches Co., TX. Charlotte was b. about 1851 in Alabama and died July 1888, San Jacinto Co., TX Charlotte's parents were Solomon Gay (1832-1890) and Rebecca Elizabeth Pugh (1833-1877). On the 1870 Polk County, Texas Census John and Charlotte were listed with these children: Calvin, 4 years, b. TX; Elbert, 2 yrs, b. TX; and Solomon, 3 months, b. TX Elbert Eli was my grandfather. He was born in Nacogdoches, TX and died in Runnels Co., TX 28 May 1947. William Calvin was born in San Jacinto County, TX and died 4 Apr 1937, San Jacinto Co., TX. Solomon Malone--No other information known I have considerable information about Elbert and Wm. Calvin if anybody is interested. We are seeking information about John Malone's parents. Thanks.
