    1. [MALONE-L] Re: MALONE-D Digest V00 #57
    2. Hi again fellow Malone researchers; I am repeating my brick wall as I have communicated with several of you before on this MALONE line. John Maylone about your family in Columbiana Co. Ohio especially. My 5th great grandfather was Henry Harrison MALONE (spelled Maylone in Ohio and Maloan on some census records.) He was born 12 October l834 somewhere in Ohio (some records indicate Athens Co. Ohio). He had one brother John W. Malone born 27 July l836 Athens Co. Ohio. Henry Harrison married Mary Campbell and John W. married Phoebe A. Heminger. The parents of these two boys were JACOB MALONE and Elizabeth RIDER who married l9 Dec. l833 in Columbiana Co. Ohio. I have never been able to determine the parents of Jacob Malone. I know from census records that the Riders were from PA before coming to Ohio. And I have never been able to connect my Malone line to the Virginia and southern Malone lines in the Randolph book. No Jacobs at all. I have several group sheets on the Daniel Malone family in Columbiana Co. Ohio. Daniel listed from Ireland with name spelled Maylone and wife name of Mary (perhaps last name of Wiseman). Children named were Abraham G. Malone born ca. l797; Daniel born ca l783; David R. born l8 August l793; Jacob born l791; Sarah born ca l779; Eleanor born ca l789; and one possible son named William; The first daughter Sarah is listed as being born in MD while all the rest are born Washington Co. PA. The son Daniel Malone born l783 is listed as being married to Margaret Wiseman on l5 Jan. l8ll. Have some spouses names on the others if needed. Another sheet I have names Nathaniel MALONE born between l670 and l680 of Princes Edwards Co. Virginia died l732 or after by a will in Surry Co. Virginia. His wifes name is Mary WYNNE. Their first child is named Daniel Malone born l703 in Surry Co. Virginia and wife's name is Mary. Other children named are Drury, Amy, William, Thomas, Nathaniel and two dau. unnamed. Data from a book named Legend of Malones. This book indicates that Nathaniel Malone (born l670-80) was the sone of William Malone. All these from Virginia. I truly believe that my Jacob MALONE is related to the Daniel Malones in Columbiana Co. Ohio but I have check the children of Abraham, Daniel, David, and Jacob, and they have no son named Jacob born l809. Hired researcher concluded that my Malone's were probably from PA and not the Virginia family. Any new thoughts from anyone on this brick wall? Denise Portland, OR dunnd6@aol.com
