Hi it is the listowner again. The one thing I like about controversy is that it normally livens up a list for a little while. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage some of you to come out of the woodwork for a while. Maybe you have not gotten to the point where you have a dead-end, but simply have not researched that part of your line yet. Go ahead and tell us what you know, maybe someone will recognize you as cousins and you now have a research buddy to keep you motivated. It is a little late tonight but this weekend I will sit down and type out to the list how the Malone surname (and I have a Mallory too) fits into my tree. I invite everyone to join me! I will give you a little to get some of you started. My maternal grandmother's mother was Beatrice Malone of Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri, USA. She was the only child of Jesse Basley Malone and Alice Gertrude Swetnam. Because many people have told me that I inherited my singing voice from her, I named my daughter Malone. Good idea, Nicole! My grandfather was Alfred Major Malone, born 23 Feb 1890 in St Clair Co, AL. He married Nancy Ella Easterwood. My ggrandfather was Samuel Spenser Malone, born 25 Dec 1864 in Ritchie Co, WV. He married Emily Catherine Beavers. My gggrandfather was Alfred Malone, born 11 Sept 1824 in Ritchie Co, WV. He married Sarah F. Butcher. My ggggrandfather was James Malone, born 1801 in Harrison Co, VA. He married Susannah Wolfe. My gggggraandfather was James Malone, born in Ireland?, died in Wood Co, VA and is buried at the Old Kennedy Farm at the mouth of Lamb's Run.
