    3. I was taking a shot at the CA death records for a William Malone b. abt 1895 Fall River MA to John F. Malone b. 1875 Whitworth Lanc Co Eng d. abt 1910 Fall River MA and is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery. William would be a long lost half brother to my maternal grandmother Catherine Mary (nee Malone) Entwistle b. 20 Jan. Fall River MA d. 16 Jan 1986 Parma OH John Malone b. abt 1847 Ire m. Alice Anderson b.1852 abt. Settle Cumberland * b. 1870 Whitworth Lanc Eng. Mary Malone * b.1871 Bradford York Eng. Thomas Malone * b. 10 June 1875 Whitworth Lanc Eng. John Francis Malone * b. 1879 Peter Malone * b. 1880-1881 Whitworth Lanc Eng. James Malone I don't know if the man I found William A. Malone b. 1875 MA dying 1954 in Mendocino was my grandmother's long lost half brother or not. I just have a gut feeling. I know that after his father's death (he was abt 15 yrs of age at the time) he was left with his step mother Catherine Alix (nee Lynn) Malone, a half brother and my grandmother. It is said he headed west which could have been anyplace compared to Fall River. My gut instinct is he went to CA My grandmother's full brother died at sea (he was lost in the Bermuda Triangle) My grandmother was raised as an only child. My mother has thought of this Wm over the yrs quite often with sad feelings. Here was a young man of 15 all alone in the world. We never heard anything of him. I guess we are hoping he kept in contact with his other Malone aunts and uncles in the Fall River area. I am hoping to get a copy of this man's obit and see if there are any leads to his being family. If anyone knows of him or any of the other Malones listed above please shout. This is one of my most important lines. My grandma Catharine Mary (nee Lynn/Malone) Bryan/Entwistle; aka Kitty was the dearest person in my life so her family means a great deal to me. Thanks in advance from my tiny dot in Darke Co OH ~pat (entwhistle-entwistle/gethen/hershberger) griffiths/jones

    2. --part1_df.5021af1.2666722d_boundary Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hello, Would you please take a look at the following forwarded EVANS information below this first message and see if anyone has a connection with this info. There are family connections of EVANS, FORD, JONES, BUCKELS/BUCKLES/BUCKHOLTS, KILLIAN, GALTNEY, GRISHAM, HATTEN/HATTON, JONES, MIDDLETON, McCARTY, LOTT, HODGE and WOODWARD and more. The BUCKHOLTS/BUCKHOLTZ and HODGE info are in my family tree but I am curious as to whether or not this EVANS (mentioned below) connects with my EVANS that is related to my FORD - CALVIT - BUCKELS/BUCKHOLTS - MIDDLETON - GRISHAM - HATTEN/HATTON - McCARTY - JONES - EVANS lineage. (And there is a MALONE mentioned below.) My EVANS that I am trying to track down is "Panther" EVANS, (born in the late 1700 - early 1800's,) and daughter, Melinda EVANS, who married Alson/Allison? JONES, and it is their son, William Tunley JONES who married Martha Ann Caroline (Matilda?) McCARTY , (called Caroline,) whose child, my great grandmother, Rodella 'Della' JONES, born: 1868, married Cicero Lamkin HATTEN/HATTON, son of Lawrence M. HATTEN/HATTON and Frances Lucretia 'Patsy' LOTT, born: 1802 in AL, and Lawrence M. HATTEN was married Frances Elizabeth GRISHAM (2nd husband, Zachery Taylor FAITH) and her mother was Elizabeth Ann FORD (who married Jehu Madison GRISHAM,) and she was the daughter of Henry FORD, born: 1790 in Natchez, MS, (son of John D. FORD, born: 1766, and Elizabeth CALVIT,) and Henry FORD's wife was Mary Ann BUCKELS/BUCKLES, born: 1797 in Natchez, MS, (daughter of Mahala MIDDLETON, (dau of John MIDDLETON,) and Mahala's husband, Abram BUCKELS, (BUCKLES,) aka Abraham BUCKHOLTS/BUCKHOLTZ, Jr., (son of Abraham BUCKHOLTS/BUCKHOLTZ, Sr., born: 1729 in East Prussia,) and either Sarah HODGE or Elizabeth WOODWARD, (the Elizabeth WOODWARD name comes from the Pennsylvania BUCKHOLTZ group that say this was the wife of Abraham BUCKHOLTS, Sr. and that Sarah HODGE was the wife of his brother, Jacob BUCKHOLTZ.) The above mentioned Abraham BUCKHOLTS, Jr. was first married to Mahala MIDDLETON and his 2nd wife was Nancy Ann KILLIAN, (daughter of George KILLIAN and her 1st husband was Abraham GALTNEY.) Please read the following forwarded message. I look forward to hearing from anyone who connects with the following EVANS information and/or the above mentioned EVANS information. Thank you. I think I may have found Wm in the CA death index. At least a possible one. I am hoping some one will recognize me as a branch of their family. Ours was the branch that left the New Eng area. I have recently found some of my Catherine Alex Lynn line still residing in Fall River. I am guessing some of my Anderson/Malone line is still there unaware of my existence. I know my ggrandfather John Francis Malone is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery and he was a bartender. He died I believe around the time of my grandmother's birth in 1910. One of the things I am searching is the name of John Francis Malone's first wife to try and match it to the person I believe to have been her half brother dying in CA. I thought I would through this out and see if I get any nibbles. ~pat (entwhistle-entwistle/gethen/hershberger) griffiths/jones~ in a little spot in Darke Co OH.

    1. [MALONE-L] George Booth MALONE/Henry LIVINGSTON/Velvet Joe
    2. My grandmother's brother was named George Booth MALONE, born in Monroe Co AR, 13 Dec 1884, where his father, a man with the same name, was a doctor. The following entry is from Who's Who in Tennessee, 1911. Paul & Douglas Co., publishers. Page 335: MALONE, GEORGE B. JR., attorney at law. Born 13 Dec 1884. Son of George Booth Malone and Kate Carson Malone. Irish descent. Graduated from the University of Tennessee (LLB) 4 Jun 1907. Fraternities Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Phi Kappa Phi. Office in Memphis Trust Building. Shortly afterward, or in any case before 1918, he went to San Francisco, allegedly because of a scandal, the nature of which I do not know. While there, he changed his name to Henry LIVINGSTON, and retained this name to the end of his life. Whether it was a legal name change or not I again do not know; but the SSDI has him as Henry LIVINGSTON, with a death date in January 1967. He married a woman named Barbara, and had a daughter, also Barbara. I cannot find a marriage license under any name. The daughter married a man named CAMPBELL. The first name I do not know. She was alive in 1975, and probably thereafter. I have several photographs, some of George/Henry with his wife, others of a child, possibly the daughter Barbara, with dates that would make her (the daughter) born in 1925. Two photos of George/Henry and his wife Barbara are identical, but with different inscriptions on the back. One says "Henry and Barbara, Thanksgiving 1918"; the other " 'Velvet Joe' , Richardson Springs, Dec 1st 1918", and in different handwriting underneath, "also Mrs. 'Velvet Joe.'" At least one other photo was taken in Hawaii, and yet another is of an Asian boy, presumably Chinese, in formal clothing, posing for a portrait. The name at the bottom of the says Hing Cheong Photographer Koonsai Soochaw. A letter from the daughter Barbara to my father in 1975 included the paragraph "I also gleefully recall Aunt Julia (my grandmother, and Henry's sister) entertaining Mother with stories of dad's youthful escapades. I must add that after your mother left Dad indignantly claimed that the stories were highly exagerated." I would be grateful for any enlightenment of any of this. John Ottinger Madison, WI
