    2. There is no Harvey Malone born as early as 1802 in the Malone and Allied Families. Earliest Harvey was born ca 1847 in TN, son of Samuel Malone. There is a Harvey Malone in 1877 in Limestone, AL. With so many wives listed, and with a person who lived from 1802-1898, I would look very carefully to make sure you are not dealing with two or more generations of Harvey Malone. Barbara

    3. Are you looking in the first Malone and Allied Families book OR the second one. The second one has quite a few additions and corrections. It is a gigantic book - hard to pick up it is so heavy! But it is great. Only bad thing about it was that I had to subtract some generations from my line and Randolph and other researchers changed their minds about the father of Isham my ancestor. -----Original Message----- From: BWGood@aol.com [mailto:BWGood@aol.com] Sent: Monday, August 28, 2000 1:32 PM To: MALONE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MALONE-L] Harvey Malone [1802-1898] VA-NC-TN There is no Harvey Malone born as early as 1802 in the Malone and Allied Families. 2. Kathy, I would be interested to know where this "hot bed of Malone's" is located and approx. year. There are three possible family names there for my husband's family, (all brothers), if they are from the right area of the country. Do you know that information? Thank you in advance. 3. Denise, An extra item. I found a note where the Jacob I referenced earlier had a son named Jacob who was in Liverpool Township, Ohio for the 1850 census. He appears to be single and living with his father. His age is shown as 21, yielding a birth year of about 1829. I don't see either Jacob in the 1840 census, but they are back for 1850. I'll see if I can find the names of Daniels other childrens' children. (William disappears by 1820). Hope this isn't toooo confusing!! 3. Denise, You could be searching for one of my relatives. My ggg-grandfather, Abraham Malone, had a brother named Jacob (and 3 other brothers). This Jacob was born in Pennsylvania in 1791, and the family settled in Columbiana County, Ohio in the early 1800s (before 1820), where he lived out his life. Too early to be your Jacob, but these Malones were PROLIFIC, so he could be descended from one of them, as it is a family name. The descendants of Daniel Malone, the father of Jacob and Abraham, changed the spelling to Maylone somewhere around 1840-1850 in Columbiana County, and I know that some of the family had left the area prior to this time and didn't change the spelling of their names. Hope this helps.
