    3. The only info I have on my Great Grandfather H.P. Malone is that a son was born to him named Hugh or Hugay Preston Malone in 1897-98 in Southwest Louisiana (USA). My Great Grandfather seemed to just appear in Orange, Texas (USA) and married an Elizabeth Caroline Hyatt from nearby Louisiana. I have a marriage certificate dated 9-9-1897. On the 1900 federal census, Elizabeth Caroline showed to be widowed. I have found another Hugh Malone about the correct age, in New Orleans Parish 1920 federal census, and has a new son named Preston. Go figure. Keep in touch, Huey Malone ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lehuann" <lehuann@omninet.net.au> To: <MALONE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, November 04, 2000 21:38 Subject: [MALONE-L] Fw: hugh malone > > -----Original Message----- > From: Lehuann <lehuann@omninet.net.au> > To: MALONE-L@rootsweb.com <MALONE-L@rootsweb.com> > Date: Thursday, 2 November 2000 9:26 > Subject: hugh malone > > > Hi, > > My great Gran Mother "Elizabeth Malone" was born in 1870 to Hugh & Jane (Hamilton) Malone, in Stonehouse Lanark Scotland I have no idea if she had any siblings. > > We are unsure if this will assist you in any way however my Grandfather's name was Hugh Malone Thobaven and I would be interested in finding out any further information that may become available in regards to this name. > > Regards, > > Leanne Thobaven > > > ==== MALONE Mailing List ==== > Have you posted your information to MALONE-L lately? > Send mail to: MALONE-L@rootsweb.com > >

    3. I have information on a Solomon S. Malone. Born in South Carolina, moved to the Mississippi Territory and was married to a Jane Moore of Tennessee,in the Miss. Terr. on 24 Nov. 1816. They came to Illinois in 1830. They had seven children and I only have five names. However, my time frame doesn't seem to match yours, nor have I ever found any connections to my Malone's going to Texas. If you think anything I might have could be of assistance, please e-mail me. 3. Don't know how relevant this is, but my gggg-grandfather, Daniel Malone, had a son named William who left Columbiana County, OH at a young age (and prior to 1820). I have in my notes that he was reported to be in Muskingum, OH at one time, but no knowledge of his subsequent whereabouts. He was born in PA, some where between 1784 and 1800, and would almost certainly NOT have changed the spelling of his name when everyone else did. Hope this helps.
