Shelia, In the Introduction of the book it says that it primarily deals with the Virginia Malone family and their descendants. It begins with Daniel Malone of Charles City County, Virginia, the earliest known Virginia Malone land owner on 17th Century Colonial America, and follows his apparent descendants as they spread south and west. In part I it discusses the early Malone history and the Irish roots. I haven't researched thoroughly for names etc. The Malone name appears in Virginia and Maryland from mid-1600s on. Since they traveled back and forth in those days, is it possible that these Malones could have been connected to the Pennsylvania Malones????Possible and it is a starting place. To all who responded to my Malone request, thanks. I will follow up on it. Carolyn
Hi, Can anyone tell me if Richard Malone born 1735, married to Rebecca Hartley is in the book. They where born in Ireland and settled in Center County, Pennsylvania. Richard was my gggg-grandfather, then Francis born 1860, then Samuel Wesley Malone in 1781 and then Martha Malone who married Robert Pyle. Martha's siblings were Frances, Samuel Jr. and William. Caroline and all other listers that are interested in "MALONE and ALLIED FAMILIES", I bought this book two or more years ago. It is wonderful! One of the clearest genealogy books that I have found. This is the info that I have on it. It was written by Dr. Randolph A. Malone. His address is as follows---- Randolph A. Malone 143 Tuxedo Drive Thomasville, Georgia 31792 This is a Second Revised Edition and as I said before , it is one of the easiest followed books that I have found. It opened so many wonderful doors for me. I can't recall how much I paid for it but is worth so much more! Enjoy!!, C. The Malones I'm researching were from Davidson County TN. Thomas George Malone was born 1830 and his brother William Joseph Malone was born 1825. Their parents were Calvin or Galvin Malone and Alpha W. Bumpas Malone. They married 1823 in Davidson County TN. Do you know what county in TN your Joseph 1824-1918 was from.
