The enumerator didn't spell some names correctly, and some of his handwriting is unreadable, so "William C. Mane" was Wesley C. Maine; Elizabeth spelled OK; "Mortin" was Morton; "Hannah Garvett" was Elizabeth's mother; and "Sarah Garvett" was Elizabeth's sister. The "Gibons" family were also living with the Maines at the time. I believe that the "D. B. Maine" family of Bloomfield in the 1860 census were relatives of Wesley C. Maine. Their migration patterns and time periods were the same, and the children's names match up (Albert & Frank) with our Maine branch. Can anyone verify or refute this?
