    3. Thank you for all of your responses. I am including the following to clarify some info on these surnames. We have a web page and GEDCOM file that include all of these surnames available at: http://members.xoom.com/exeterprod/hx/wood.html Feel free to email if you have any questions, submissions, etc. Thank you! Tim Wood We are looking for the parents of Alanson S. WOOD, born May 11, 1811. His wife was Electa BALCOM, born 1811. We have very good reason to believe that Joshua WOOD and Martha TERWILLIGER-WOOD are the parents of Alanson WOOD. Alanson and Joshua both arrive in Redfield, NY about the same time, 1831/2. According to federal census, state tax rolls, and his Revolutionary War Pension file, Joshua WOOD lived in Chenango County, NY from 1800-1829. Obviously, if Joshua is the father of Alanson, then Alanson should have been born in Oxford or surrounding area. More info: 1800 Joshua was living in Oxford, Chenango 1808 Joshua married Martha in Plymouth, Chenango 1810 Joshua was living in Bainbridge, Chenango 1820 Joshua was living in New Berlin, Chenango In 1830, they were living in Amboy, Oswego County, NY. September 24, 1832 - Joshua WOOD, given pension as a Revolutionary War Veteran, living in Redfield, Oswego County, NY. Joshua dies November, 1845, in Redfield, NY. April 16, 1853 - At age 65, Martha is allowed pension for her Vet husband, living in Redfield, NY. In October, 1855, she is living in Lorraine, Jefferson County, NY. Martha dies December 25, 1858. We also suspect they had three daughters, Paulina, Salana, and Grace Ann (Grace married a Filkins).
