Am seeking information aboout the Dwight family of Northampton in the mid to late 1800's, especially Mary Dwight of Northampton and South Hadley and her brothers Robert Ogden Dwight and Timothy of South Hadley. What was the relation - if any - with the family and the youth who Robert adopted in 1873? Thanks for any help or sharing of information.
What was the surname of the adopted Robert? I've been researching the Martins that were Irish, and find that there were so many children that most were adopted out, and those took the surnames of their adopted families, so I haven't been able to track them. But some in our line had DWIGHT as their middle name, leading me to suspect that there was some relationship to that family. Thanks, Sue Martin L Olson wrote: > > Am seeking information aboout the Dwight family of Northampton in the > mid to late 1800's, especially Mary Dwight of Northampton and South > Hadley and her brothers Robert Ogden Dwight and Timothy of South Hadley. > What was the relation - if any - with the family and the youth who > Robert adopted in 1873?
