I am looking for information on Josiah Davis who was born in Ware in 1757, the son of Abijah Davis and his wife, Elizabeth, surname unknown. He married Ruth Graves of Whatley, dau. Oliver Graves. He was in Hatfield a number of years, in Buckland by 1790, and died in Savoy in 1834. I would like to be able to prove that he was the father of John Davis Sr. (m. Harriet Flower) of Buckland, but unfortunately the Buckland records were destroyed in a fire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Stella
