Hi Hampshire Listers, I have read that a Rev. John Russell was one of the early settlers of Hadley, Hampshire Co., MA. We have an Eliza Russell b. 1836, Pelham, Hampshire Co., MA. m. Pliny Hannum b 14 June 1829 They married 23 Dec 1855 in Belchertown, Hampshire Co., MA and had four children. They later moved near Hastings, Nebraska at unknown time. Looking for parents/siblings of Eliza Russell. I imagine she is related to the Russel's/Russell's of Hadley. She may be the Eliza Russel??? listed in the 1850 Census for Hadley living with Elizabeth Kellogg 51 and Martha Kellogg 49 both born in MA. Same age as our Eliza Russell. There are four Russell families listed for Hadley, Hampshire Co., MA on the 1850 census none with a daughter Eliza/Elizabeth. Any ideas? Thanks, Richard L Dalton revrldalton@msn.com
