I am interested in the surname KENTFIELD /KENFIELD /CANFIELD) in the Belchertown area, particulary the family of Ebenezer Kentfield (Abt. 1732 - Aft. 1820) and his wife Elizabeth (d. Aft. 1820). I descend from their daughter Rachel, who married John Heath in Bridgewater, NH in 1785. Kendall Mellem jimell@swbell.net
I am researching the family of Aaron COOK(e) of Northhampton, esp. his daughter Miriam, who married 1661 Joseph LEEDS of Dorchester, MA. Aaron Cooke died in Northampton, September 05, 1690. (Source: NEHGR, vol. 3, October 1849:400) I have read in an online web page that he is buried in Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton. Can anyone tell me whether this grave is extant? Are any of his wives buried near him? Thank you for any help you can give. Kendall Mellem jimell@swbell.net

SHARON --- Following is all that I know of the Ireland Costello's. I've been trying for years to establish an Ireland contact but no luck yet. I've tried many of the Irish message boards but I've never received a response from Ballindine. I've established where they came from thru the INS citizenship records that stated that John's oldest son, Michael, was b: in Ballindine, Co Mayo. From that I assume that the parents & uncle, my Gf, also were from Ballindine. Unfortunately, I've no Owen Costello, but I do have a Thomas Costello. He was Thomas Richard Costello, my Gf; his father was Richard Costello. My Costello's seem to be one generation later than yours. Is there a message board for Hazelton; if so, we both should join? Keep in touch, if any new info surfaces, I"ll pass it on to you. I have one other problem with my family history; my Costello's just are'nt very communicative. Have fun. Hi everyone, I have a William McKENZIE who married Mary GUILLOW in Greenfield on 26 Apr., 1781. I believe Greenfield was a part of Hampshire Co. at that time. I have been unable to locate the birthplace of their sons--Roderick, bn. in 1783 and William bn. 5 Feb., 1785. They are not in the Greenfield Vital Records book. Might someone have a record of their births or is there a CD available that would cover this area that some nice person could check for me. I will very much appreciate any help you can provide and will gladly share what I have. Thank you very much. Carol Harrison Torrance, CA
