Did any of you get the 'memo' that HeritageQuest/Generations are putting the entire digitally restored US census information online (all 12,000 rolls), available by subscription? It is unclear at this point whether or not it will be available to the general public or just to libraries. It seems stupid to me, if they have gone to that expense and work, not to open it up to the public. However, I do know that libraries can afford to pay a higher subscription fee. Maybe if they got deluged by us 'genealogists' asking for access to this database they would let the public subscribe. After all, the records belong to 'we, the people', anyway. You can find their contact information at: http://www.genealogydatabase.com/ Anne

What was the surname of the adopted Robert? I've been researching the Martins that were Irish, and find that there were so many children that most were adopted out, and those took the surnames of their adopted families, so I haven't been able to track them. But some in our line had DWIGHT as their middle name, leading me to suspect that there was some relationship to that family. Thanks, Sue Martin L Olson wrote: > > Am seeking information aboout the Dwight family of Northampton in the > mid to late 1800's, especially Mary Dwight of Northampton and South > Hadley and her brothers Robert Ogden Dwight and Timothy of South Hadley. > What was the relation - if any - with the family and the youth who > Robert adopted in 1873? Most listings for births also list parents. Available from New England Historic and Genealogical Society lending library (and at other libraries here and there). http://www.newenglandancestors.org/index.asp? I was in Worthington last month and found many ancestors in the Old North Gate Cemetery, which is west of Worthington Center, and south of the main road going west. It is on the maps for the area (the good atlases which show all streets). The local library has some good old books too (and limited hours).

Hi Listers, For all of those whose ancestors may have embarked from Hamburg Germany to all points, there is now a great site that allows you to search for them. The address is: http://www.hamburg.de/LinkToYourRoots/english/welcome.htm They are putting a few years at a time on line so it will take a while, but, what a wonderful resource. Currently 1890-1893 is online, but, eventually 1850-1934 will come on line. Hoping all of you have a wonderful 4th of July! Peggy Listowner
Marla, I have a Mary Simpson born about 1725 who married 1749 in Sturbridge, Worcester, MA Samuel Leach. Their daughter Elizabeth Leach married John Jepson, and they lived in Goshen, Hampshire, MA. Mary apparently had a brother Edward Simpson who married 1746 in Sturbridge Anna Bond, and they had a lot of children there, which are listed in Ancestry's vital records of Mass. Yours may be children of one of those. As far as I know, nobody has been able to find where this Mary and Edward Simpson came from before dropping down in Sturbridge. If anyone can enlighten me, I'd really appreciate it. Hi All, I am sending this to several lists because I hope someone on one of them will have some information that might help me. I am searching for information on the following people: ________________________ Which name is right. Need birth info. BARTLETT OR HENDRICK, Deborah married John KING, Jr. about 1749 or 1750. The History of Palmer Massachusetts lists her as a HENDRICK but A King Family Register lists her last name as BARTLETT. She died 26 Feb 1811 in Palmer, Hampden, Massachusetts. ______________________ Need birth and death info. LEE, Mary or Molly Married Lt. David KING 24 Jun 1775. She was previously married to Rev. Richard Graham of Pelham. Palmer Cemetery records erroneously state that she died Dec. 20, 1871 age 80. _______________________ Need birth and death info. MC CLINTOCK, Thomas married Sarah KING 29 Oct 1747 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts. Lived in Palmer. Need death info. KING, Sarah born in Palmer, Hampden, Massachusetts. Married Thomas MC Clintock. ______________________ Need Marriage and death information for the following all lived in Worcester, Hampden and Hampshire County, Massachusetts: SIMPSON, Betsey born 27 Nov 1780 Brookfield Worcester, Massachusetts. SIMPSON, Charles, Jr. born 6 Apr 1782 Brookfield, Worcester, Massachusetts. SIMPSON, Dwight Foster born 28 Oct 1801 Brookfield Worcester, Massachusetts. SIMPSON, Francis born 29 Oct 1786 Ware, Hampshire, Massachusetts. SIMPSON, Nabby born 16 Feb 1779 Brookfield Worcester, Massachusetts. SIMPSON, Rufus King born 1 Dec 1799 Brookfield Worcester, Massachusetts. Excommunicated from the Congregational Church in Ware, Massachusetts 18 Mar 1835 on account of his notorious unchristian conduct. He was a non-resident. SIMPSON, Nora she may be a myth sibling. The only place I have found her listed is on Ancestral File. I would appreciate any information on the SIMPSON'S. They are siblings of my gr. gr. gr. grandfather and I can't even locate them on a census. It is apparent that at least Rufus was still alive or he would not have been excommunicated. I was recently given data that Hannah Williams was born in 1780 in Norwich, Hampshire, MA. Can this be true? I had been looking for that person in Norwich, New London, CT. Hello. I have a confusing puzzle and would very much appreciate help in unraveling it. I am looking for information on Mercy Kellogg. I wrote before but did not have as much information. She was born 22 Apr 1740 in Sheffield, Berkshire, MA, and died 6 Sep 1819 Elizabethtown, NY. She married Caleb Noble and Joseph Callender. She was the daughter of Daniel Kellogg b. 10 Dec 1704, d. 11 Jan 1756; m. Hannah Noble 19 May 1731. Hannah was b. 11 Oct 1707. Daniel was the son of Stephen Kellogg b. 19 Apr 1668 Hadley, Hampshire, MA, d. 5 Jun 1722 in Westfield, Berkshire, MA; m. Lydia Belding 8 May 1694. Some people think there were two Mercy Kelloggs, one who married Caleb Noble and one who married Joseph Callender. The one who married Callender was born 4-22-1740 and died 10-11-1797. The one who married Noble was born ca 1741 and died 9-6-1819. If anyone has any information or clues, that would be great. Thanks. Stephanie in Denver
