Surnames: McAvoy Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/VFB.2ACI/3446 Message Board Post: I am trying to research my g-g-uncle Thomas Henry McAvoy who was born on 9/5/1866, Portadown, Northern Ireland. Around 1902 he migrated to America. He married a Minnie Brown and they resided at 210 South Street, Holyoke, Co. Hampden for approximately 40 years. Thomas worked for the former Farr Alpaca Mills then the Holyoke Wire and Cable Co. He died on 27/7/1949 and Minnie died on 1/11/1954. Their funerals were conducted by the Alger Funeral Home and they were buried at the Forestdale Cemetery. I have the obituary for Thomas but not Minnie and have been unable to locate migration details or social security numbers. I would be grateful if anyone is able to assist. Thank you.
