Mr. Riley was a native of Ireland and with his parents came to this country in 1849, settling in Mittineague (W. Springfield) where he lived for more than thirty years." (was a paper maker for his entire life in W. Springfield & Holyoke) "He is survived by four children, John D. of Mittineague, Mrs. W. J. McCann of Springfield, William at home & Rev. Richard F. Riley of Pittsfield; three brothers, William of Waltham, Thomas of South Dakota and M. J. (Michael) Riley of Holyoke." >From the funeral notice - Dec. 3, 1915 "The bearers were six grandsons.
