I am waiting to hear back from Laurel who administers the Mass Hamdpen message board.... I still do not see where the amusement parks have anything to do with genealogy......everyone wasnt talking genealogy...just names of the old parks. like you I have lived in the Pioneer Valley all my life..3 years shorter than your 63...and know the area well.
