William was born in Ireland in 1829 or 1831 and Catherine was born in 1843 or 1846. There were six children born to Catherine and William. I understood that they all came to this country(USA).Their last known address is Killarney, County Kerry. 1.Jeremiah W. Dowd (J. W. Dowd) and he resided in Chicago until his death in 1943. Jeremiah's place of birth is given as Castleisland, County Kerry Ireland. His date of birth is February, 1863. 2.Michael W. Dowd lived in Springfield MA until his death in 1937. Two sisters, 3.Mrs E. J. Kelley of Cleveland, OH., and 4.Mrs Margaret Mahoney of Springfield MA were listed in Michael's obit. Two brothers, 5.Patrick, died in Chicago at age 26 on 12/19/1892 making his birth year to be 1860.6. Robert died in Chicago 4/11/1898, age unknown. thanks charley town
