Alford is in Berkshire County. You might check your local FHL (Mormon family history library) to see if you can obtain microfilm of Alford vital records. Alford records are also available on Holbrook (Archives Publishing) microfiche which can also be ordered through your local FHL, and Alford records are also part of the Vital Records of Mass., official series. Springfield records are available through the Corbin Collection, also can be ordered through FHL; Holbrook microfiche, and in issues of the NEHGS REgister. There is also a publication called Thomas Warren's Springfield Families, which may be what is in the NEHGS Register. If you are a member of NEHGS, you can now access the entire run of NEHGS Registers online. Good luck. Joan Hunter Joan A.
