Fournier (“Speed”) Fournier, 59, of 75 Hampshire St., died Tuesday in the Holyoke Hospital following a short illness. He was the widower of Florence (Ironside) Fournier. Mr. Fournier was born in Holyoke, Jan. 9, 1912 and received his education in the Holyoke schools. He had been employed by the Worthington Corp. for 28 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church and the Worthington Athletic Assn. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. George (Phyllis) Kidd of West Haven, Conn., a son Douglas A. of this city; four brothers, Lester of Willimansett, Richard of Agawam, Roger of Holyoke and Joseph P. of South Hadley; five grandchildren and one niece and one nephew. The funeral will be held at the Edward F. Day Funeral Home, Friday morning with the Rev. James J. Anilosky, of the First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Forestdale Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are today from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
