You can find a listing in the city directories along with advertisements. Also, there is a comprehensive work by Ron Polito on New England photographers. I don't have the name of the book at hand, but I know he has worked on an archive. I was researching in this area for my great great grandfather Calvin Ward, who had a photo studio in Springfield during this time period. Hope this helps.
