Matthew Blair was one of the founders of Blandford. Their children were born in Hopkinton and in Blandford and after the schism in the church in Hopkinton left around 1841 to found Blandford. These Ulster Scot families founded the town of Blandford, Massachusetts on March 1,1741. Mary's father is given as "Robert Hambleton" could possibly be a brother to your Hugh. Notes for MARY Hambleton: Headstone: "In memory of Mrs. Mary, wife of Mr. Matthew Blair who died March 21, 1753 in her 52d year. “Time was like thee; I Life Posses'd' And time will be" the rest of the headstone obscured when stone reset.
