He was born in Springfield on July 17, 1881; worked as a fireman at the Mills Spring Station - was married twice - Lillian Snell (died 1929) and Charlotte Dalton; lived at 74 Niagra St at the time of his death; working as a Captain in the Fire Dept; died May 22, 1945; buried at St. Michael's with first wife, his parents and brother; looking for newspaper obit that may show who survived him. I live in California so unable to go to library to search. I have searched the census but unable to locate him in adult life - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. His gravestone says died June 7, 1883 aged 75 years 2 months 18 days. His smaller gravestone says 1808-1883. The 1860 Federal Census says he was born in Massachusetts. I assume he is the son of Samuel W Frost born in 1781 but I have no proof of that. Any information on Calvin Frost and family would make me dance a jig.My E-mail is ruthannmar@sbcglobal.net
