Surnames: Parker; Plouffe; LaBelle; Vautrin Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/VFB.2ACI/3427 Message Board Post: I am searching for the parents of my Great-Great Grandfather JOSEPH PARKER who was born somewhere in Canada in 1828. He came down into New York State, married SOPHIE CHAMPAGNE in Lewis, NY in 1851, then settled in Schroon Lake, NY, where his 8 children were born. One son, CHARLES, my Great-Grandfather came to Indian Orchard before 1884. At one time he owned a farm in Ludlow in the "Red Bridge District" (according to Farms of Ludlow, p. 501). Charles married ROSE DE LIMA PLOUFFE in NY & 3 of their children were bon there. The last 6 were born in the Springfield area. I am including this history to see if anyone recognizes him as an ancestor, also. Sure would like to find out where in Canada he came from & who his parents were!

Roswell sold Wayrun land in Crawford County, PA, in 1837 or so. Wayrum had served in the War of 1812, and I think Roswell might have, too. As I say, the Ancestral File or IGI had a reference that tied, or inferred, the family together. Dave

Frances is the identical twin sister or my grandmother, Mary Frances Hunter, and William is the cousin of my grandfather, Ethan Albert (Moore) Tryon. Elizabeth is buried in Pine Hill Cemetery in Westfield. The only info I have is off the gravestone, which is pretty much what you have. Charles (Charlie) died in April, 1975. He was born 9/30/1891. If you are following the Marsh line, William is the son of Dwight W. Marsh and Isabelle Kate Gillesper. Dwight is the son of John R. Marsh and Abigail Stevens. Dead end. Ethan Albert (Moore) Tryon is the son of Henrietta Louisa Marsh and Orland Earl Moore. Henrietta and Orland never married. Henrietta is the daughter of John and Abigail. How do I fit in? Carol Ann (Tryon) Tebo, father - Raymond Howard Tryon, grandfather - Ethan Albert (Moore) Tryon, great grandmother - Henrietta Louisa Marsh, great, great grandparents - John and Abigail Marsh.
