My Great uncle was George Gosselin, born after 1880 in Cohoes, Albany County, NY. Brother to Libby, b. 1872, Edward Francis, (My grandfather) b. Aug. 24, 1878, d. Aug.1, 1959, in Troy, NY. Their father, Francis Gosselin, b. 1852, Province of Quebec, CA, died, Cohoes, NY, Feb. 6, 1888. We know George lived in Saugus, MA. His wife Margaret died Nov. 1973, in Saugus. I found in SS index a George had died in Chicopee. I though maybe after Martha died he moved there to be w/ family. Also, his mother Martha (Hilton) Gosselin went to Saugus, about 1910, I think to live w/ George. Could the pictures of the 2 women be Margaret & her mother in law Martha? I don't know the names of George & Margarets 2 daughter, first nor married names. Maybe we are cousins? Will be anxious to get a follow up from you. I have all info on my grandfather Edw.Francis Gosselin. Marcia Gosselin-Bain

Hi Massachusetts listers, This article was on WGGB 40 news, which I just copied off their website; http://wggb.com Anyone with relatives from the Springfield, Indian Orchard, Ludlow, MA. and surrounding areas, should read this about Chapman Valve Co. in Indian Orchard, MA. Many of my ancestors worked at this factory and died of lung or health problems which could have been caused by their job. This also mentions WW II radiation exposure. Good luck, Roberta Cyr WWII Radiation Exposure Resouce Center On-Air Story March 19, 2002 If you know someone who unknowingly worked around radiation during World War II, there's a federal resource to receive benefits. In Western Mass, hundreds of workers were affected at the former Chapman Valve Company in Indian Orchard. A law passed last year, provides compensation to victims and adult children. The new resource center is available today (3/19) through Thursday at the Holiday Inn in Somerville. For information, you can call: (617)-628-1000.
