Hi Everyone I have been doing genealogy for a long time and had put my Irish lines away a few years ago. Well, I have them out again and am joining this list in hopes of finding some help. Here are the lines I am working on. BAXTER, OBRIEN, CRONIN, CASHMAN, REILLY, COUGHLIN, MCMAHON, MCAULIFFE, WALSH, GOREY, DORSEY BAXTER, PATRICK AND HANNAH OBRIEN MY GRT GRANDPARENTS I do have the Baxters back into the early 1820s in Drumboy, Leitrim Co. Ireland Partick came over in the early 1880s and married Hannah in the 1890s. Hannah died in the early 1910s and Patrick died in the 1920s. They resided at 37 Ginnell St. in Greenfield for most of their married life and until Patrick died. Patrick was born to Patrick and Bridget REILLY BAXTER in the 1820s in above mentioned place. He had a brother John who was the oldest and came over to MA too. I believe John BAXTER is living with a MICHAEL DORSEY Family in Montague in 1880 and am trying to figure out if Michaels wife is actually Catherine REILLY who would be a relative. Also there is a Frank Rutly listed with them and I think this might be a Frank REILLY also a relative who possibly came over with John. Really would like to find connections to my REILLY side as I havent been able to go back past 1845 on them. OBRIEN, WILLIAM S. AND HANNAH CRONIN MY GRT GRT GRANDPARENTS William and Hannah had my above mentioned grt grandmother Hannah. They also had Mary, Ellen/Ella M., Lizabeth, Margaret, Sarah, Clara, and John P. that died at age 20. All of these children were born in the 1860s and 1870s. This family resided in Deerfield. William who was born in Ireland was the son of John who was born in 1805 in Cloyn, Co. Cork, Ireland. Hannah was the daughter of John and Ellen CASHMAN CRONIN who I believe resided in Chicopee, Hampden Co. MA. William had sisters, three that I know of , Mary OBRIEN MCMAHON wife of Daniel, Margaret OBRIEN MCAULIFFE wife of Dennis wih two children Daniel 15 and Ellen 11 in 1880, one more that I only know the surname and that being COUGHLIN as there are nieces and nephews listed in Marys will as Mary, John and Edward COUGHLIN in 1911 living at 79 Lowell St. Merrick. There are possibly more siblings and thats why I joined this list. Now as for William OBriens children, Mary I havent been able to find out about yet. Ella married William E. GOREY son of Patrick and Bridget GOREY. Ella and William had Robert, Walter, Hannah Agnes, Marian, Lillian, Harold and resided in Deerfield. Sarah and Clara married WALSH brothers both sons of Michael and Mary of Sunderland. Sarah married Thomas WALSH and had Ronald and Sylvester. Clara married Frederick WALSH and had Frederick H., Leo, Mildred, Raymond, Robert. Both families resided and remained in Sunderland. Lizabeth and Margaret OBRIEN I believe never married and John died at age 20. According to census records Hannah and William OBRIEN had one more child but I havent been able to find out anything on it.
