Your posts about the Watts reminded me that I never figured out the parents of my Olive Newton 1742-1838 who married Thomas Wells. I believe they were in Deerfield at the time (7 July 1761), but later (1780s) moved to Guilford and then Athens, Windham Co., VT. Is anyone familiar with any Newton family that had a daughter Olive in 1742? This Thomas Wells was the son of Jonathan Wells and Abigail Dickinson. There was a Thomas Wells in Leyden, too, who I assume was the son of Agrippa. Margie
I note that Hist of Deerfield includes Jonathan Wells (1702-1797) who m. Abigail Dickinson (1708-1800), but does not include a son Thomas, unfortunately. And though Thomas is in Guilford, his family is likewise not treated in that History. But, you probably knew this. There were Newtons in Deerfield, some of which came from Montague (then Sunderland), but I do not see Olive in Sunderland history. So, some of the easy look-ups don't help.
