Savage vol 1 pg 179 it says this BILLINGS, WILLIAM, Dorchester or perhaps Braintree, a propr. 1654 of Lancaster. Md at D. 12 Feb 1658 Mary who's surname is not seen in the records....." perhaps he removed to New London where Miss Caulkins shows a William in 1667 fined for neglect of train. And very soon after to Stonington......" Torrey pg 70 it says this: BILLING, William (-1713) & Mary (?ATHERTON) (-1718) Dorchester/ Stonington CT./Preston CT.
